Welcome to Quantastic Research!

I’m Dominic, and I’ve been interested in applying data analysis techniques on stock market pricing for many years. It’s stuck with me so much that it’s culminated into starting this blog – Quantastic Research.

With remarkable technological advances in software tools and the growth of easily available market data over the last decade, anyone can apply the projects and topics that are covered in this blog.

So, if you’re interested in technical and quantitative analysis then you are very welcome here.

Content Expectations

The goal of this site is to document the technologies and methodologies I personally find useful in quantitative and technical stock market data analysis.

Programming tutorials will be plentiful – specifically on certain aspects of Python and SQL. This is mainly for knowledge-base purposes and the related articles will most likely be monetized with advertisements in the coming future to support the website management and hosting costs.

There will also be project updates, which can be found on dedicated project pages. The project code can be found under the GitHub organization Quantastic Research. It’s all linked together, but if you need help navigating contact me.

About the Author

I’ve obtained two Bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Since then the bulk of my professional experience has involved controls automation and industrial manufacturing. I’m also a long-time user of Python and SQL, and I have many other encounters with various programming languages throughout my professional and academic career.

Data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence are all interests that stem from my educational background. In addition, I’ve been interested in analyzing the stock market for many years, so I’m seeking to merge all of the above interests into a single venture – Quantastic Research.

In addition, I’ve been a guitarist since I picked up my first acoustic at 8 years old and I’ve recorded and played in various bands around Buffalo and Western New York. I also modify and repair guitar effects pedals whenever I get the opportunity.
